S.T.E.A.M Kids Sundays

Learning can be fun! S.T.E.A.M Kids Sundays are filled with education enrichment activities offered on the last Sunday of each month between 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm to CMA guests.

CMA educators have identified many interactive STEM activities that expose kids to a wide variety of STEM education concepts and augment the knowledge they learn in school.

Dates & Projects
September 25, 2022 – 3D Pen Etching (Technology/Art) 

Outcome/Impact: Students will create a blueprint for 3d design, then using the 3doodler pen will they draw out each component before attaching them together to finalize their 3D design.

October 30, 2022 – Fizzing & Flying Lava Lamps (Science/Math)
  • Outcome/Impact: Students will conduct a visual hands-on Experiment. Measuring the proper amount of Ingredients to demonstrate a reaction.

November 27, 2022 – DIY Playdough Chemist (Science/Art/Math)
  • Outcome/Impact: Students will measure three ingredients together to produce their own play dough.

December 18, 2022 – Clay Sculptures Creations (Art)
  • Outcome/Impact: Students will explore the difference between shape and form and create a figure made of clay that can stand or exist on its own without added support.

January 29, 2023 – Balloon Cars Contest (Engineering/Math/Art)

Outcome/Impact: Students will assemble a moving car only using materials available, students may adjust and modify their concepts to reach desired results.

February 26, 2023 – Wacky raised salt Watercolor (Art)
  • Outcome/Impact: Students will learn to work with both common and uncommon painting materials, follow sequential directions and learn about solids and liquids.
