The Children’s Museum of Acadiana’s Exhibits all promote the idea of demystifying this great big world for such small kids. It takes everyday things such as the grocery store, dentist’s office and café’s to bring it to their world. It allows children to become the grocer, dentist, chef or artist in their world! All CMA exhibits have hands-on learning and have the visitor participate in the exhibits. This is not your average museum, where most kids can’t touch we encourage play and participation. Explore the different exhibits that the CMA has to offer your family today!

Ami- The Acadian Ambulance
Ami the Acadian Ambualance- Sponsored by: Acadian Ambulance
AMI is the CMA’s very own full sized Acadian Ambulance! That’s right the CMA has its very own ambulance inside the museum! Don’t ask how we got it in the building, that “little” secret is ours.
Kids will have fun playing in Ami the full sized ambulance; they can play as the lifesaving paramedic or the patient in need! No matter what visitors choose to play most are just in awe at being in an ambulance. Most of the CMA’s visitors can’t wait to get in the driver seat themselves to take off to their final destination!
Ami was donated and is maintained by Acadian Ambulance.
Architecture Alley consists of different tables with various toys to build different structures, forms and machines on. Kids can build an entire fortress out of wooden blocks, get creative with the classic Mr. Potato head, or even a little innovative with the Gears or Legos. Visitors are sure to always have fun at these stations especially some of our older visitors who will love the selection of Mr. Potato Head accessories that the museum holds. Make sure to take a picture of your creations and send them to the CMA. We will post them on our Facebook for all to see your crafty work!
