Teacher Information:
The Children's Museum of Acadiana, Inc. (CMA) invites you and your class to open up new worlds of discovery. Pre-visits for teachers are available by appointment. All field trips must be scheduled prior to day of visit.
Field Trips last 1-1\2 hours. Please be on time. Special programs last 2 hours.
Admission fee for students and/or siblings is $5.00.
Admission fee for all adults is $3.00, including teachers and chaperones.
One (1) adult for every five (5) students is mandatory. (
more adults are always
welcome). Any group not having the required number of adults will be assessed
an additional $25.00 fee unless other arrangements have been made.
All children must wear name tags, showing child's first name and group name.
24 hours notice of any cancellation is required.
Remember you are visiting a museum, review "Museum Manners” and "Museum
Rules" with your group, which can be found on the top of the museum's floor map
at the front desk.
Please consider a donation of any of the following items: glue sticks, markers, Joy
Detergent, white Karo, manila folders, and 8-1/2" x 11" cardstock, old greeting
cards, paper towels to support the CMA.
Chaperone Information - to enhance the CMA experience:
Chaperones must be at least 15 years of age.
Any child (not part of the field trip) over 12 months of age accompanying chaperone, will be
charged a $5.00 admission fee.
Please review and enforce museum mannerswith your group, which can be found on the top of
the museum's floor map at the front desk. .
Please read labels and signs in exhibit areas to your group.
For the safety of the children - it is important that the 5 children remain with their assigned
chaperone AT ALL TIMES.
Interaction with your group will ensure a rewarding visit for both you and your assigned children.

Souvenir Bags are available from the Peek Inside for your visit for $1.00 or $2.00. A $1.00 bag contains a prism viewer and a friendship bracelet. A $2.00 bag contains a bubble pen or a CMA ruler and CMA pencil. To order souvenir bags please call 337 232-8500 at least 24 hours before your visit.

visit. Many of the Cub Scout Loop/Pin and Rank activities can be combined for a more thorough
field trip. Select the appropriate Girl Scout Daisy Petal, Brownie Try-It, Junior Badge for your group.
