Ham Radio Classes

  Presents

 Amateur Ham Radio Course

 The Children’s Museum houses a secret—one of the finest ham radio stations in the south.  This Spring the Children’s Museum of Acadiana will offer a Ham Radio program where you will earn your technician license.   The course  will be held at the CMA in downtown Lafayette and will be taught by licensed amateur radio operators from the Acadiana Amateur Radio Association (AARA) and Ms. Terry Turner, Science Teacher from Paul Breaux.

Dates for the Ham Radio Class at the CMA

 An seven (7) week ham radio licensing course will be held on the following dates:

 February 10, 17, 24

March 3, (No class held on the 10th), 17, 24, 31

April 7 (testing date)

Individuals age 10 and older will receive instruction designed to enable them to earn a Technician-level license in ham radio.  The instructors welcome parents and children to enroll in the course and earn their technician’s license together.

 

ONE TIME CLASS FEE OPTIONS:

Option 1: $5.00 ADMISSION FEE + $25.00 BOOK FEE + $15.00 TESTING FEE = $45.00

 

Option 2: $5.00 ADMISSION FEE + USING COMPUTER BOOK + $15.00 TESTING FEE = $20.00
