January 17, 2009, the CMA is proud to present "Chagall for Children".  Based on the art of Marc Chagall (1887-1985), a Russian-born Jewish painter who lived most of his life in France, the interactive exhibit, "Chagall for Children" features 14 fine reproductions of the artist's works.   Viewers may experience and explore paintings such as The Birthday, The Rooster, and Paris Through the Window  through a variety of multi-sensory, hands-on activities.  "Chagall for Children" was developed by the Kohl Children's Museum of Greater Chicago, Illinois and is supported in part by the Women's Association of the Kohl Children's Museum.  Designed for viewers grades K - 5, "Chagall for Children" may be enjoyed by children ages 4 - 104.
